JANICE DOROFF TANNER Born in Little Falls, Minnesota
Native Minnesotan Janice Doroff Tanner is an abstract painter who bases her imagery on natural forms such as gourds and seed pods. Her prints, such as Cloud Whispers pictured below, also reflect nature in an abstract way.
Doroff Tanner received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Minnesota State University in Mankato, Minnesota and a Master of Arts in Studio Arts from the University of Minnesota in Duluth. She has been a studio artist since 1983. Beginning in 1988 and continuing through the 1990s Doroff Tanner's work has appeared in several two-person exhibitions with her husband, ceramic sculptor James L. Tanner. She continues to show her work in solo and group exhibitions in Minnesota.
Doroff Tanner's most recent award is an Artist Initiative Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board in 2004. She has also received two Minnesota State Arts Board Career Opportunity Grants and two Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council Individual Grants. Her work has been collected by Waseca Art Center, Traverse Des Sioux Library System in Mankato, School of the Art Institute of Chicago Library, Sioux City Library in Iowa and the Tweed Museum of Art in Duluth.

Shipment and returns: Your print will be shipped as soon as we receive payment. Each print comes with a documentation sheet that certifies the materials used in making the print and the number of prints and proofs in the edition, along with other important information.
If you are not satisfied with your purchase return it within seven days of receipt in the packaging in which it was sent. The Littleton Collection will refund the purchase price on undamaged merchandise.
