TOM HAMMOND b. 1939, Lumberton, North Carolina
Printmaker Tom Hammond was educated at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts and East Carolina University, where he was awarded the Bachelor of Science in 1962 and the Master of Arts in 1964. He studied engraving at Atelier 17 in Paris in 1975. In 1970 he took a position as Instructor of Printmaking, Drawing and Watercolor at the Lamar Dodd School of Art, University of Georgia in Athens. He is now Professor Emeritus at that institution.
During the past thirty years Hammond has exhibited in solo and group shows in the United States and overseas in Belgium, Italy, Hungary, France, Holland, Spain, Japan and the People's Republic of China. His work can be found in the collections of the Royal Museum of Art in Antwerp, Belgium; Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; Penland School, North Carolina; Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art, North Carolina; University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Mint Museum of Art, North Carolina, among others.

Magreitte Kudzu pays affectionate tribute to two pervasive entities: the strangling kudzu vine of Hammond's native South and the art of René Magritte.

Prints are shipped flat. Shipping and handling adds $35 to the price of the print.

Shipment and returns: Your print will be shipped as soon as we receive payment. Each print comes with a documentation sheet that certifies the materials used in making the print and the number of prints and proofs in the edition, along with other important information.
If you are not satisfied with your purchase return it within seven days of receipt in the packaging in which it was sent. The Littleton Collection will refund the purchase price on undamaged merchandise.
